Safety Policy

Effective May 28, 2026 · PeNotary LLC

Purpose

Mobile notary appointments occur in your home, office, or facility. This policy keeps signers, witnesses, pets, and our notary safe during every visit across North Fulton.

Government-issued photo ID

Every signer must present current, government-issued photo identification acceptable under Georgia notary law (typically an unexpired driver's license, passport, or state ID). Copies or photos on a phone are not substitutes for in-person verification at the appointment.

Pet safety

  • Secure dogs and other pets in a separate room before the notary arrives
  • Disclose service animals at booking — we accommodate lawful service animals
  • Notify us of aggressive or anxious pets so we can plan entry safely
  • Keep walkways clear of obstacles, ice, or loose rugs

Appointment conduct

  • Provide accurate address, gate codes, and parking instructions
  • Ensure adequate lighting and a clean signing surface
  • Minimize interruptions during notarial acts — phones on silent when possible
  • No harassment, threats, or intoxicated signers — we may leave without completing acts
  • Do not pressure the notary to skip identity steps or backdate certificates

Secured facilities

Hospital, jail, hospice, and corporate visits may require badges, escorts, or health screenings. Share facility contact names and clearance steps when you book so we arrive prepared.

Cancellation for safety

PeNotary may reschedule or cancel if conditions are unsafe, signers cannot produce valid ID, or requested conduct violates Georgia notary rules. Travel fees may apply per our Terms of Service.
